Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Bible Brook uses, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors.

Information stored on your device

Bible Brook does not require an account. Saved verses, reading-plan progress, and private journal notes are stored through your browser’s local storage on the device you use. This information is not intentionally sent to Bible Brook. Clearing this site’s browser data will remove it.

Technical information

Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, date and time, and security events. This information may be used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.

A lot of visitors—who are they?

A large visitor count is encouraging, but analytics can show only that activity occurred; it does not by itself identify who the visitors are. Depending on the analytics provider, the count may include your own visit, other people, search crawlers, or automated service requests. Bible Brook does not give the site operator a visitor’s name or identity through analytics.

Bible passage service

When you open a passage, your browser requests Bible text from Bible-API.com. That service may receive technical information associated with the request. Its handling of information is governed by its own policies.

Google advertising and cookies

Bible Brook may use Google AdSense in the future. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to Bible Brook and other sites on the Internet.

Visitors may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Visitors may also learn about choices offered by participating third-party vendors at YourAdChoices.

Other ad vendors or networks may also use cookies or similar technologies if they serve ads on Bible Brook. When additional vendors are selected, this policy will be updated to identify them and provide available opt-out information.

How Google uses information

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Consent and regional privacy choices

Where required, visitors will be shown a consent or privacy-choice message before advertising cookies are used. Bible Brook plans to use Google’s Privacy & Messaging tools or another Google-certified consent management platform when advertising is activated.

Children’s privacy

Bible Brook is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a future contact feature, please use the Contact page once the public address is available.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when site features, advertising partners, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
